I’ve been doing toy reviews since early days on my blog. VibeReview was kind enough to be the first, when I was still new to the game. The companies I review for have changed a bit over time – I’m not in this for money, so I’m picky about the sites I’ll review for. I won’t take on too many at a time. I’ve turned down a few because I was either overwhelmed with review companies, or I didn’t like the site or their uptight review rules.

There’s a few things you need to know about my reviews:

  • I’m not in this for the money really. A few sales per quarter are necessary to keep me reviewing for the companies, but for some of them I don’t even sign up for the affiliate program. The toys I get to review is more than generous enough, in my opinion.
  • Since I’m not in it for the money, I won’t lie or embellish on my reviews. Those of you who have been around have seen my reviews of things I don’t like. If I say I really like the toy, you can believe it’s true.
  • I am picky. This sometimes means I review more expensive toys. This always means I won’t review toys that have “bad” material like jelly/rubber. Also, I require a bit more of a strong vibration level than a lot of women do. Consider this caveat when using my reviews to guide your choice. If I say that it’s not “quite” strong enough for me, chances are it’s good for you, lol.

I realize that some toy sites don’t have the best descriptions. I do my best to go beyond what they tell you about the toy. Had I read blogger reviews a few years ago when I bought my first toys, I could have saved a bunch of money. If you ever have ANY valid question about the toy, please email me privately, I’ll answer.

I view this as a privilege, not a job. I try to keep reviews interesting, but also informative. I’ve seen some reviewers that don’t. I’ve seen some reviewers who DO and they still get dropped by companies or refused. I’m lucky, that much I know.

I’ll keep a running list here of my reviews:

Vibrators

Dildos

BDSM Gear

Miscellaneous and Etcetera

Teh FAIL (items I just couldn’t like, at all)

Pleasurists is a weekly round-up of the reviews appearing through out the sexblogger world, you’ll find a lot of good information there.
