I’ve reviewed a lot of sex toys, and owned some privately before reviewing. There is one thing I have learned, above all else, as the cardinal rule to a great sex toy:

Research, research, research.

Price? No. I’ve seen really pricey vibes that just don’t cut it.

Brand? Sometimes – I’ll stay away from guys like Doc Johnson, California Exotics, Topco and so on for the most part. Occasionally there are exceptions; like CalExotics makes a silver bullet I’m using and loving right now.

Just reading the buyer reviews on the sites (if they have that) isn’t enough. I firmly believe that some sites forge those glowing reviews. Go with a site that lists reviews from both buyers and “pro” reviewers, such as EdenFantasys. Better yet, search for your toy in question at Pleasurists and read a bloggers review. Make sure you read more than one review because we all like our stimulation different and what I hate somebody else could love!
